adventures in recoveryKEHL'S QUEST is a one-of-a-kind Recovery Community Organization (RCO) based in the Twin Cities, Minnesota. We use the collaborative and creative potential of Tabletop Role-Playing Games (TTRPGs) to build a supportive and thriving community of people in recovery.
We believe collaborative gaming can empower a strengths-based mindset, illustrating through play how to leverage current talents and hone new skills. Gaming offers a space to practice healthy behaviors and attitudes from teamwork to communication, dispute resolution to appropriate outlets for stress.
What’s a Table-Top Roleplaying Game?
In a typical TTRPG, one person acts as the Game Master (GM) who interprets what happens based on players’ choices, the rules, and dice rolls. The rest act as their own characters, called Player Characters (PCs). Unlike a video game, in a TTRPG everyone at the table:
Equally guides the story and action through their choices.
Has no idea what's going to happen next!
Through character development, adventure writing, and group improv TTRPGs come to life with every clever, brave, and down-right ridiculous choice—while the dice decide your fate. Everyone works together toward the same goal—telling a story all their own.
